There are four different styles of eyelash extensions:
Classic lashes are a single extension applies to your natural lash.
Volume lashes can have anywhere between 2-6 extensions on each of your natural lashes, thus creating a more voluminous look.
Hybrid lashes is a combination of classic and volume, to create a more texture look.
Mega volume lashes are very similar to traditional volume lashes except the difference is the diameter of the extensions as well as the quantity placed on each natural lash---mega can have up to 16 extensions per natural eyelash.
No, I do not utilize pre-made fan. All of my volume services involve hand made fans that are tailored to the client's personal eye shape and desired look. This is one of the reasons why volume lashes require a higher level of skillset and longer appointment times.
Lash loss is a normal part of the natural lash cycle. It is normal to loose 2-5 lashes per eye, per day. The extensions are placed in a manner that your natural lashes will continue to shed as they would without extensions. Do not be alarmed if you notice shedding as the lash extensions will shed with the natural lash. This is why it is important to schedule timely fills to ensure that your lashes are always looking amazing.
In short, yes. Eyelash extensions require that you visit the salon regularly every 2-4 weeks for fills. Lashes also requires that you practice good at-home care to ensure the health , cleanliness and integrity of your eyelashes stays in tip top shape.
It is important to come to your appointment in good health, with a completely clean face, especially no eye makeup or mascara.
You will also be required to wear a face mask for the entire duration your visit. This includes the time you are laying down for your lash application. Many clients fall asleep during the appointment so feel free to bring EarPods and comfortable warm clothing.
You will also not be able to get your lashes wet for 24 hours after your appointment so plan any bathing, swimming, hair washing/appointments or physical activity accordingly.
NO! Lash extensions should absolutely not ruin your lashes. Natural lashes only become damaged if applied incorrectly by an untrained or unskilled artist. It is also essential that the client follows proper at-home care to maintain your natural lashes healthy and strong.
There are several materials eyelash extensions are made of, but those used by Noemi at Lash & Glow are made of PBT fibers--there are no real mink in them.
The glue used by Noemi at Lash & Comb does not contain latex!
NO! Unfortunately once you have had an allergic reaction to the eyelash extensions, any future applications will result in a worse reaction than the previous, regardless of how long ago the reaction was. It is important that you disclose any previous reactions to your lash artist during the initial consultations process.
No, it is not advised that you remove your own lashes. Please book a lash removal service to have the lashes professionally removed, therefore minimizing damage to your natural lashes.
